On Your Mark!!!
Hello ERFA supporters! Believe it or not, planning for the 8th Annual Ellie’s Run for Africa is off to a running start and we’re eager to share so much news with you today.
First off, we’re excited to announce next year’s race date – MAY 19th, 2012!! Mark your calendars, start your training, set aside the morning. We know it’s May and there’s always a lot going on, but why not kick off your day with a morning run that helps kids in Africa. We’re always done by 10 a.m. anyways!
Get Set!!!
How can you prepare for ERFA2012? Here’s a few ideas:
- Be a Hero this year and raise funds beyond your entry fee. Details will come soon.
- Ask your company to be a sponsor. We have many levels, so let us know if you’re interested by emailing info@elliesrun.org.
- Join the planning team! We’re looking for folks interested in helping us start to plan today! Email info@elliesrun.org if you are interested.
- Celebrate with African Leadership. The annual Banquet is November 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Burton Hills/Green Hills. Please RSVP to rsvp@africanleadershipinc.org by this weekend.
Go!!!
The funds we raised last year – $50,000 – are on their way to the New Dawn School to help give the opportunity of an education to students. We’re so excited to partner with New Dawn, which is truly ensuring that the students receive a quality education that is given by trained teachers and that meets the benchmarks for success that the students need to continue in their education. Pray for the school as it is in a land dispute to gain property that will allow them to add a resource center. The building is paid for, it’s the land that still needs to be released.
