Michael Gilbert

Noel Brewing Co. is an upstart brewery here in Nashville, TN with a goal of making the highest quality beer possible with a philanthropic vision for our community. Brew good, do good! Kevin and I both enjoy beer and have been homebrewers for years. We both agreed that if we were to do this business venture we wanted it to be with a higher purpose in mind and not just for a paycheck. We want to be tied with local charities and churches to help raise money for different causes that support Nashville and our neighbors across the globe. We of course want to be successful and make billions of dollars but with a different end goal in mind than just our bottom line.

Most Rewarding moment so far:
It would have to be the Byun Fund Festival, the combined efforts of Noel Brew (Kevin Perkins and me) and Interface ministries (Rob Vaughn). Noel nation (our beer drinkers) raised a bunch of money to help out a fellow Nashvillian (Detcher Byun) who was without insurance and incurred some hefty medical bills. It wasn’t just our involvement that made me proud; it was the collective effort of people around us who wanted to help. People donated time, money, food, and musical talents to help out a guy who most of them had never met. He was in need of help and that was all the reason people needed to get involved. People loving their neighbors…that’s why giving back is the new black.
