Each year, the Nashville Symphony’s Spring Fashion Show features a collection from one of the fashion industry’s most respected and recognizable designers. All proceeds from the event, which includes a cocktail reception, runway show and lavish dinner, benefit the Nashville Symphony’s commitment to education and community outreach, as well as the Thor Johnson Scholarship Fund.
High-end fashion label Marchesa, co-founded by British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, will team with Naples-based boutique Marissa Collections to present the 2011 Symphony Spring Fashion Show on April 26, 2011. Hosted by the Nashville Symphony Orchestra League at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the show will feature the New York-based designers’ 2011 Fall Collection.
In additioon, one of the music industry’s leading entertainers, Faith Hill, will be featured as the special guest musical artist. A five-time GRAMMY® Award winner, Hill possesses a voice that is as powerful as it is recognizable. Her 17-year career has been highlighted by the sale of more than 30 million records worldwide, during which time she has celebrated 13 singles and 20 videos that topped the charts. She has earned three Country Music Association Awards; 12 Academy of Country Music Awards; four American Music Awards and four People’s Choice Awards.
Incoming Symphony Orchestra League Board President Sadhna Williams is pleased to announce that Janet Bentz and Johnna Watson will chair the 2011 event. ABC News Correspondent Deborah Roberts, a reporter on 20/20 and substitute news anchor for Good Morning America, will emcee the event. Roberts, who resides in Manhattan with husband Al Roker, has attended previous Nashville Symphony fashion shows as a guest.
