Belle Meade Plantation’s Kentucky Derby Party

March 16, 2011

Tickets are on sale now for Belle Meade Plantation’s Kentucky Derby party, and I’m one of the hosts! Please join me in enjoying the ambiance of Churchill Downs without leaving Nashville at Derby Day on May 7th. I hosted this event last year in lieu of my annual attendance at Steeplechase, and it was actually much more enjoyable. With a mixture of sun (walking the grounds) and shade (in the Carriage House), no trekking through the mud, drinks, games (blackjack tables!), and great company, I had to be a part of it again this year. Steeplechase is a week after, so you can do both, but if you have to choose I suggest you check this out!

-Traditional Derby food and drinks (Open Bar!)
-Place your bets on the races (fun money, of course!)
-Gable at casino tables (blackjack and more! fun money too!)
-Sip Mint Juleps and the finest Kentucky bourbons and Tennessee whiskeys
-Savor a cigar in the cigar tent
-Dance to the hits of Sons of the Beach
-All while watching the races on the big screens!

WHEN:
May 7, 2011 – 3:00 PM

WHERE:
Belle Meade Plantation, Nashville, TN

Purchase your tickets here, and be sure to put “Kimberly Novosel” in the “company” field, so you’re considered one of my guests.

See you on Derby Day!

Pics from Ellie's Run for Africa

May 23, 2010

The Giving Back girls were so thrilled to help out at Ellie’s Run for Africa yesterday.  The morning was sunny and beautiful and the people were amazing!  Thanks to all who came out to run, play, and support these children in Africa.  Many children are able to receive an education because of this event.  Yesterday, over $46,000 was raised.  Congrats Ellie’s Run!

Here come the runners!

Where have you been in Africa, and where do you want to go?

Each runner ran for one child, and got to write a letter to that child.
